James Wolcott quotes Patrick Lang at length today about the pundit class fretting about Plamegate. He makes the good point that these people seem to be unable to separate themselves from the people they are charged with covering. Richard Cohen gets a special mention for his wankfest last week. Mr. Cohen also deserves a special beatdown for his lame article on abortion and Roe v. Wade. He blithley dismisses the consequences if Roe is overturned with the statement (paraphrased here) "Big states will keep abortion legal and some small states will outlaw it so most women won't have a problem. And I don't really care too much about those women who might have to travel to get an abortion." Thanks Dick. Since you or your relatives will never have to face this choice I guess it doesn't take much courage to wipe out the rights of millions of women not rich enough to drive to an abortion-friendly state. Asshole.
